Boney Chest Ladies

Hey ladies! I've lost about 10 pounds sense my surgery with weight lifting.  Sinse my surgery, I have avoided any and all chest exercises, including pushups, because it just feels weird and I really dont want to distort the implant or my pocket (I went under the muscle). But, sense loosing this weight, my chest is getting a little boney (I lose weight there first, hence, the boob job lol). Does anyone recommend some SUPER light weight exercises to just keep and maintain a little layer of muscle of my sternum? Any recommendations from people with similar issues? I'm just over 5 months post op and have been cleared to return to all exercises but just want to take it slow when it comes to the chest region! Sorry for the long winded post.

  • I have the same issue. You can clearly see the bones across my chest.  The only time they went away was when i was heavier from being pregnant. From what ive been told there isnt much that can be done, besides weight gain.

  • Hi I'm a PT and i would say no this will only make the bony chest look more noticeable as it would build up the top part of the chest muscle that sits on top of the implant pushing the breasts down and outward,  i too have lost a fair amount of weight about 22 lbs and my chest became more bony. You generally have less fat sitting over your sternum area so as you loose body fat if you normally loose it in the boob/ chest department first that is going to be the  more noticeable area.  That being said a little light chest work shouldn't hurt just dont go to heavy .

  • May I ask what cc implants you got & what your starting stats were?

    • azn_sensat10n of course! I started at a 34B (older pictures in my profile) and I went with 440cc silicone hp under the muscle. I was 5'3" 145 when I got them but I'm 130lb now.

  • Your chest doesn't look boney at all, you look great!

I had a super boney chest pre BA and you can still see it a little when I lay on my back but thankfully the implants help hide it :)
