How long after having a lift and breast augmentation is it ok to fly?

  • No hard science on this one.  What we are balancing here is the risk of bleeding and deep vein thromboses (DVTs).  You should be pretty mobile (walking) after breast surgery and if you get up and walk around every couple of hours, that will keep your risk lower.  Essentially 48 hours makes sense to me with the caution to walk around.  Zero data on this question but folks travel all the time for surgery (myself included) and do quite well.

As always โ€“ I would be so honored to see you at my offices in Raleigh, NC!
