Hi I'm Jules! Worried I went too big with Ideal saline 300cc

Hi girls! I am 5 months post-revision surgery to remove scar tissue so my implants could drop into the pockets. I was 32B, 5'6 and 108lbs. I got Ideal Implants 270 filled to 300cc's.

I haven't told anyone (besides husband) that I got the implants and feel very self-conscious. To be honest, I worry that I went too big! I got very caught up with the surgeon and nurse telling me I would lose some volume visibility when the implant is placed under the muscle. Originally I wanted to go 250-275 but was encouraged to go 300.

I know the difference between 25-50cc is very small but all I do is obsess about whether my boobs look fake and too big.

What do y'all think? Am I right or just being super self-conscious for no reason?

  • They look great - hang like natural breasts so I don鈥檛 think they look fake. I have been reading about Ideal saline implants. How do they feel?

Jenny the Ideals feel pretty good! I   Think I'm happy with the feel although my husband thinks they should be undetectable. I keep telling him that's impossible. They are a foreign thing in my body after all and I didn't have too much breast tissue to begin with.

  • They're amazing! I have the same concerns and I did 340 cc. I haven't told many people, but I've found that mine are easy to disguise in a looser fitting tee and many work clothes. Once I get more comfortable with them I'm sure I'll start showing them off a little more. I definitely don't think yours look too big or fake at all!

  • I honestly think they look great, and very proportional to your body! I have similar stats to you; I'm 5'6 and 115-120 lbs. I'm currently a 32b (at VS) and am trying to pick between 285 and 305 CC, but the surgeon recommended up to 325, which just sounds SO big to me. I think I'm going to go middle of the road and go with the 305 CC. What are you currently measuring for a bra size?

Elzbieta Gabija I need to get a proper fitting. I have bought 32C's from Gap Body. They're sheer cups with an underwire and I protrude a little on the top because I am still a little high on my right boob.

I have this hang up about trying on a 32D because I didn't want to be that size going into my surgery. I'll bite the bullet and try them on and report back.

Julie S I felt the same way! My goal was to be a full C, but I find that a 32D in department stores are the most comfortable for me. I measured  a 32DD at Victorias Secret and was shocked. My presurgery 32As all look like training bras next to these things lol. Don't go by the size, just go by what you feel comfortable in. If you really don't want to buy the D, look into the sister sizing.

BRooker the black bra I am wearing is from Gap and it's a 32C. I've never tried a 32D because I've been too "scared" to which I know sounds ridiculous. But I am so insecure about these boobs.

BRooker ps Thank you!! I really appreciate it!

Maybe I just need to admit to people that I had them done. Even my best friends don't know.

Julie S wow! All of my friends know. I鈥檝e worn very thick padded bras since I can remember to 鈥渉ave鈥 boobs but when I鈥檓 out swimming it鈥檚 obvious mine are very small. Guess I couldn鈥檛 hide it at that point.

      But embrace them! They鈥檙e beautiful!

  • I think they look perfect on you.  Since you didn't tell anyone and so much time has passed, I think most people will not even think twice.   Seriously,  they look amazing.   Hope mine look that great when I get them.

  • They look beautiful. I got 350cc and was scared they looked too big but after talking to some friends who didn鈥檛 know I had them done the resounding response was 鈥淚 thought they looked a little fuller but figured I was just remembering wrong.鈥 It鈥檚 hard because we were looking at them all the time so to us the difference is huge.

Julie S don鈥檛 get hung up on size.  Implants don鈥檛 size the same way as natural breasts due to the fact that there is less 鈥渟quish鈥 and movement with an implant and they are far more round so sit differently in a cup.  For what it鈥檚 worth, they don鈥檛 look at all like a DD.  Also Victoria鈥檚 Secret is notorious for vanity sizing.  Their bras run very small.  I now measure a 34DDD 7 months post op and I would say my boobs look like a D.  Don鈥檛 worry about the bra size!

Julie S grab a tape and actually measure your bra size yourself. Not all bras are made equal and you cant allow yourself to get hung up on sizing. You'll drive yourself crazy. Measure under your breasts (ribcage) and then measure over your breasts (at nipples) without squishing them. One inch over the ribcage measurement is one cup size, two inches is two cup sizes, etc. Look it up to double check me b.c it's been awhile since I've done it but personally once I realized the difference in bra sizes (I'm quite small, haven't had BA yet) I stopped stressing the bras.

      They look great btw!!

  • Girlfriend! I felt the exact SAME WAY!! But you look fantastic. I thought mine looked too big, but honestly hardly anyone really even noticed. I can't remember, but I think I only wanted to be a full C, definitely not a D or DD. I'm now a 32DD/DDD and I like it. I was horrified at first, and kept asking the doctor if they'd shrink after the swelling went down. Unless I wear a bikini or similar top, I can hide them. You are quite thin, so the smaller implants probably look bigger on you, but I totally understand. I think it's just a matter of getting use to them. Yours look great. In time I think you will appreciate them, right now you are probably dealing with mixed emotions that come with implants.

  • I am currently going through the same thing. Although my doctor thought 360cc was the best look. I cried thinking like I had watermelons for boobs for weeks! I am getting better the more relaxed they are getting. I鈥檓 struggling with the left when at 5days I reached for (of all things my pillow) and tore (or felt like it) 鈥渟omething鈥. I finally find out the 26th ... three months out if my left side needs surgery for the scar tissue and to get the implant to drop. How did that all go? How was the recovery?

  • Just remember, these are with you for LIFE. I felt the exact same way, I didn鈥檛 want to go any bigger than 325 and my doc basically told me he refused to put anything less than 385 in without a lift. it would do more harm than good filling up a deflated breast without pulling the skin taught. For seriously 6 months post op I did not feel comfortable at all in clothes, I felt fat, I didn鈥檛 know what to wear and I felt like it was sooo obvious I had a breast aug. I was super thin and flat before with a very bony chest. I also got measured as a 32DDD at VS but NONE of the  bras in that size worked.

Now, 10 months later, I absolutely LOVE them. They have settled so beautifully, I鈥檓 a small in bralettes (which is what I wear mostly) and a 32D. I can play them up or play them down and I鈥檓 so glad I listened to my doc. Enjoy them while they鈥檙e big because the next season is right around the corner!

  • Hi girls! Thank you for all of your kind and helpful responses! I love this community.

My biggest issue is the fullness up top due to my high profile implants. And I think at the end of the day, I'd like to have smaller implants. I tried on a 32D in Gap bras and I think that's my right size. I'd prefer to be a full 32C instead.

so I consulted a new PS on Friday and really liked her. She heard all of my concerns and recommended (what I had in mind going into the appointment too), moderate plus profile silicone HSC implants at 235cc's. I would have the flatness up top that I desire from a more natural breast and a slightly smaller size. I hope 235cc will get me to a C cup. The PS said my boobs in the end would appear about 1/3 smaller. We'll do final measurements in my pre-op but I'm excited this will get me the final  result I'm looking for (I added wish pics from Emily Ratajkowski here).

Also the HSC silicone will feel much softer which my husband is very happy about 馃槣

surgery is at the end of October so I'll come back with an update then! Thank you again for all of the support and helpful feedback!! I don't know what I'd do without this community.
