How to reverse bottoming out?

Wearing push up bra to support my boobs upwards. My right is bottoming our. Dr said to keep it supported.

he said I am the exact opposite issue of capsular contracture, that my breasts haven’t formed enough scar tissue to hold the implants in place.

Can anyone help?

  • I saw my surgeon today for a 3 month.  I was already worried I was bottoming out and he confirmed.  He did tell me to only wear supportive bras from now on, at all times.  But he said revision is the only way to fix it.  It may not get a lot worse, but it probably would get worse over time...

Michelle great I’m so annoyed I spent so much for this and now I might have to get it revised. He said if I don’t keep it supported it can drop a lot further and it would not look good. I’m keeping it supported with a Victoria secret push up underwire bra, what are you using?

Sabbyx same.  I think it’s called a date night push up (also vs). I also bought some tighter/more supportive sports bras to wear to bed.  My surgical bra was way too big, both around my body and on my chest so I am just kicking myself for not speaking up about that.  I also wore some amazon zip fronts that were not supportive either.  I can’t say for sure that was my problem but I’m just sick thinking maybe this could have been avoided.  I feel so selfish asking to spend more on myself after what we’ve spent.  My husband is supportive of everything I want, but I am feeling intense guilt right now.

Michelle Same!! I feel like my post surgical bra wasn't supporting my boobs enough!! there was nothing really supporting it.. more like holding it in place. I also wore some amazon zip fronts that werent supportive. I feel like I should have got more support but its kinda hard to get supportive bras that dont push up or have an underwire. This sucks, Sorry were going through this please keep me updated

Sabbyx will do!  Please do the same!  I have to wait until December (surgeon wants me to be 6 months po so everything from the first surgery is healed and tissue is strong).  Hoping to find out what my costs will be today!  Hang in there!

Sabbyx thought I’d let you know that I heard back about fees and my revision will cost, but much less!  Surgeon fees are waived.  I will likely get both pockets tightened up, but one for sure.  Bummer to go through but happy that the cost is better than I feared and I can get in right at my

6 month mark from my original surgery.

Jessica basically there is no shaped round crease, it is kinda flattening out if that makes sense. I think I am bottoming out doctor even confirmed it :/ I really don’t wanna pay to revise. I spent a lot of money over 10k for this

  • I have dent in bottom of left breast and when went to see doc was told to keep pushing up on from underneath so capsule can form and keep supported, one of the nurses suggested a wired bra and that has made a big difference. Most likely is something ill need fixed though unfortunately :(

  • My right breast bottomed out I have revision surgery done this past Friday. I was told to wear a tight underwire wire bra for maximum support. Unfortunately my surgeon said no matter wat I do it's not going to make it better without a revision. I still tried and sadly it didn't get better but it didn't get worse. No that I had a revision I have to wear a tight underwire bra 24/7 minus showers I'm not sure for how long but I go back on Monday to have my stitches taken out.

Sabbyx no my surgeon covered everything. Originally he was just going to wave his fees but then I received a phone call saying that all costs were going to be covered.   So far every day my right breast is looking better and better. The swelling is going down a lot I'm super happy I had the revision! I'll post pics soon. I get the stitches out on Monday so I'll update you then :)

ndorin Thanks. I cant express how annoyed I am. He would charge a fee, I just called the office. I spent almost 13k for the BA. I can't believe this. I'm glad youre doing better :)

  • I am experiencing the exact same issue.  I have ZERO scar tissue forming and my breasts are so soft.  Which is good, but too good.  because my right breast is bottoming out.  I have to get a revision. He is charging me $2500 for the revision.  Such a bummer.  Also, he suggested that I think about switching both out for a textured implant because I just may not have the muscle to hold them in place.  This is so frustrating on many levels.  I don't want to be the kind of bra wearing lady that I can't ever be braless for fear that I bottom out.  I don't know what to do.

Courtney McLaren Huber BUMMER!!! I don’t have enough scar tissue forming either they’re too soft :( I feel you! It’s such a let down. I’m trying to wear a super padded push up bra in hopes that it can reverse things and lift them up.. my doctor told me a woman wore a bra non stop for 3 weeks and it helped. I really don’t wanna go in for revision yet alone pay for it 😓 good luck! And yes textured implants I heard are no good!
