recovering in warmer months?

Super bummed I was less than a week away from surgery but due to the Covid stuff it was rescheduled to May 6 and depending how everything is then it maybe later? I feel better about waiting until all of this over any how.. However, I Iive in SC I will be recovering in super hot temps 80s and humid! Has anyone went through this during summer time or hotter weather months? I am getting a lift with implants. Any tips will be great..

  • I’m in the same boat. My surgery was scheduled for March 30 and cancelled. I am in NM and although we don’t get the humidity, we get the desert heat! I think I am going to wait until the fall.

  • I'm in the same boat as well. I was 5 or 6 days away from surgery when it was cancelled, rebooked again to April 13, cancelled again and now is scheduled May 1st. I was worried about the same thing as I plan on not telling anyone.

My heart breaks for you. I also live in SC and mine is scheduled for June 2 in Seattle. I’m expecting them to cancel and it’s been really rough. I’m sure you feel the same. But quick note, warm weather is more likely to kill the virus. A second wave is expected in the fall. I would imagine July and August might be the best bet. wishing you all happiness and good health. Hopefully we can get through these hard times together πŸ’•

Siren they have no idea if warm weather will kill the virus and the second wave in fall is only if warm weather kills it or if they lift the stay at home orders. That will create another wave as well. I'm not a scientist but if the virus is everywhere (including Australia where it was summer when this started, as well as S. America) then I'd wager that this virus IS NOT affected by weather.

      B. Kind You’re absolutely right, I’m no doctor. All I can tell you is what my sister told me who’s a nurse practitioner at the hospital in Seattle where the first US patient died. Wishing you health and happiness!

Siren yes, I've got some health professionals in the family too. Most of my insights come from reading what the CDC and other scientists have been putting out. Again, I can't claim to know for sure as they themselves do not know yet either. Hopefully that is the case, but I'd just hate to see people believe it without knowing for sure and then possibly put others at risk. You stay safe as well. I hope your sister is able to keep fighting on our front lines and stay healthy. Please tell her thanks from Michigan!! Xoxo

I'd rather recover in hot weather than cold. My surgery was in Michigan, in December and let me tell you... omg, my pec muscles literally seized due to cold. My nipples were super sensitive and constantly hard, and very painful. Between the feeling of my chest muscles seizing and my nipples hard and painful enough to cut glass, I was miserable until at least the end of February. Trust me, there is an upside to getting it done in the summer.

  • I had my first BA in June. It wasn't bad at all. I loved it. Less clothes no wire bras and swim suit tops. And I got to show off my girls with out "showing them off" Lol. Good luck!
