Wedge pillow

Did anyone use a wedge pillow for recovery when laying down? Was it worth it? Was you more comfortable? :)

  • I bought one from walmart, and idk if it just wasn鈥檛 high enough or what, but I found it pretty uncomfortable in bed. I ended up just sleeping in a recliner the first few days. I鈥檓 sure there are great ones! I just wasn鈥檛 willing to spend more than $20 for something I would use a week.

  • I ordered one from Costco after reading on here that it was very comfortable. I haven鈥檛 received it yet, my surgery is Oct. 9th, but I figure that if it鈥檚 not comfy, I can take it back. I plan on using that as well as a neck pillow and pillows under my arms.

  • I bought a wedge pillow and use the neck pillow as well pillows tucked up under my arms to make sure I don鈥檛 roll over. I go back and forth between the recliner and the wedge. It鈥檚 just hard to get comfortable when I鈥檓 so used to sleeping on my side, but it works. Lol I鈥檓 3 weeks into recovery btw

  • I got one from amazon, and got a great neck pillow. It has been awesome!!! I still sleep on it, I鈥檓 almost 2mpo. I followed my doctors instructions to the T because I didn鈥檛 want to mess anything up with the money I paid. I鈥檓 a stomach sleeper so it took some getting used to, but it helped me stay in position on my back.

  • I got a backrest pillow, better than a wedge in my opinion because it also has arm rests and I could lean my head back and side to side to sleep more comfortably.

  • Yes! I鈥檓 using one now and a neck pillow and a pillow or small wedge under legs. I sleep well even though I鈥檓 a side sleeper.

  • I bought two from Walmart. I stuffed a pillow under it, then propped the wedge pillow straight up over that stuffed pillow (thick side at top) then layered two pillow over it, perfect angle to sleep! Then used the second one to prop my feet up. 8 days post op and still sleeping this way
