Spray Tan in Recovery?

When are you allowed to get a spray tan? My BA was 8/1 - my next apt isn’t scheduled until 9/4. I was hoping to schedule a spray tan this weekend. Not sure when this would be acceptable. I still have tape over my incisions and I wouldn’t even mind putting larger covers over them and just having the incisions covered.

Wasn't sure what was acceptable and couldn't find anyone else who has asked!

I would just call up to the office and ask! Wouldn’t hurt! Maybe they can give you suggestions to keep the incisions from getting the spray tan on them. I’m sure you’re not the first (or last) to ask this question! Hell, we’re going on a beach vacation in a couple weeks and I just had my BA 8/21 and I’ve been wondering the same thing!!!

  • Hi!  We think the skin is water tight at between 24-48 hours.  Go ahead and spray (if you must!).

I would be honored to see you at my office in Raleigh, NC!
