1 week 1 day post op revision

First 2 are PO revision, second two are before. So far so good a week after my revision - Capsulorrhaphy. Fingers crossed this works. Otherwise I will need a BL. Surgeon did this complementary. I had displacement and a double bubble on both breasts. I鈥檓 happy to see them in the center of my chest again and have some fullness in the upper pole!

Terra Brame Thank you! It鈥檚 hard because I feel good and know I鈥檓 probably overusing my body. No exercise or anything over 5lbs for 30 days. Hard when you have to do laundry, take out trash, etc. Doing my best to ask for help. I live on my own, so it鈥檚 hard. I grab a neighbor when I can, lol and I pushed the shopping cart at Costco - ooops but I had them load my car and a friend unload. So I鈥檓 trying! Will probably be doing Instacart for groceries in the near future.

  • You look great! May I ask: how soon after your initial surgery did the double bubble present, and how soon after did you get a revision? It's looking like I may also need to get reinforced internal stitching but I'm only about 12 weeks PO and my surgeon says we need to wait until 6 months to do any kind of revision. I'm also dreading a whole other round of not being able to lift anything (I have two young children), and of course the fear that they won't hold. I hope you continue healing perfectly!

frannypro Hi and thank you! My double bubble started showing up around 8 weeks as well as the displacement. He also told me I had to wait 6 months. Saw him in June and scheduled the revision. My surgery was originally Dec 24, 2018. By mid Feb 2019 I was seeing problems. I was a borderline lift case and at the end of the day- if this Capsulorrhaphy doesn鈥檛 hold then ultimately that鈥檚 what I will need and will do it next summer. Not being able to lift etc even to a greater extent this time is really difficult. I feel pretty good, which is the danger innit all and easy to over do. I鈥檓 on my own- kids are grown and divorced, so I don鈥檛 have any help. It鈥檚 hard to go find someone every time I need the trash taken out and to carry groceries etc. So I get it!

Cre8tive thanks for responding! That sounds very familiar. I was about 5 weeks when I noticed the double creases under my breasts. Thankfully no displacement. My surgeon attributes it to very weak tissue. I see him today, anxious to hear what he thinks and just want to get something scheduled if I need a revision and prepare myself for another round of recovery. I hope your stitches hold this time! Take it easy and think of it as practice in self care by asking eeeeryone for help ;)
