Breast lift and Implants Results different

I am wondering if others who have had a lift along with implants are finding that often times our results do not/can not look like others? I know personally I  just do not have the same FULL ROUND shape as others or as I hoped for. Wondering if others feel the same as I do? Just things I want to know before I start thinking about 'trying' to consider another surgery.

  • I feel this way. I looked at BA pics too much before surgery. After my pre op, which was only a week before surgery, my PS told me not to expect the same result. So I had a week to readjust my thinking before I had my BA/BL in June 2018.

I accepted the scars of an anchor lift, but I wanted an augmented, high, and round look. That did not happen. I have a a great outcome, but nothing like what the BA only ladies achieve. I am content now, but I wanted another surgery so badly for a while. It took time to accept things.

Chandra Jonetta Thank you so much for your reply! I was in the same boat as you as far as not having time to adjust to what I wanted to receive from my surgery versus what the outcome is. While I am happy with my results compared to what I had prior, it is not what others achieve and I won't lie I'm still trying to come to terms with accepting that😭. I'm about 4 mopo at this point. I think I will come to accept and be completely happy, just going to take time. May I ask how far out you are now?

    • Never2late I am 15 moths post op. No complications, just one of my scars is mildly hypertrophic.

My breast are better than before, but they still only look amazing in push up bras. They are a major improvement, but nothing like the BA only ladies.

  • I was the same way. The scars of the anchor lift don’t bother me. I did really want that high upper pole but I am please with the round shape. It will be two years in December and I’ve made piece with not having a lot of upper pole. My biggest fear is needing another lift.

Shannon Rae Thank you so much for your reply! I am happy to read you are 2 years out and still happy with your results. I often wonder and worry how long I can expect my lift results to last? I wear an underwire bra at all times and sleep in a sports bra to help fight gravity. But know that just with age and time they will eventually sag again🙄

Never2late I sleep in a sleep bra every night bc I’m terrified that they will sag again.

Shannon Rae my PS said gravity can't effect them while sleeping/laying, but I worry about lateral displacement so better safe than sorry!

  • I can relate. My boobs aren‘t THAT perky. I‘m 4,5WPO and they‘re just ‚ok‘. They‘re quite big, 420cc overs and Anchor Lift. I already had C (D earlier) but I‘d like to have this little ‚v‘ which women with perky cleavage do have even without a bra. Do you know what I mean? Quite dissapointed but the ‚before‘ was awful anyways after many years of weightloss/weightgain and one kid, so Im‘ pretty happy with the outcome.

  • I am 5 1/2 weeks po and I keep seeing pics of others at this stage, with high implants. Do the breast lift ladies dont have that? Do we not drop as they do?

Nilam My personal experience and you can read others experiences, we tend to find that we don't get/keep the upper pole fullness that women with just BA get. Not sure why but still huge improvement over what we had before surgery.

    • Never2late Thanks. I guess I thought that initially I would have the implants high like that, and was surprised that mine were not. I had quite a bit of breast tissue, and after the lift only needed 240cc's to get to my wish size. I am thrilled with the results, and think my doctor did a super job.

    • Nilam I'm almost 9 weeks post op, breast lift and implants and my implants are as perky as anyone who's had just implants and I have plenty of upper pole fullness, I had HP implants though. I think it depends on the technique and experience of your surgeon. BL/BA is one of the hardest surgeries to do I've heard!

    • Rebeccalynn my breasts look great to me. I was just surprised that I never had the implants by the collar bones, “frankenboobs” “squareboobs” look I often see before he drop and fluff. It’s like mine were pre-dropped if that makes sense. They are still a bit hard, and will hopefully soften a bit, but other than that and the incisions healing, I’m feeling very happy with mine.
