14 weeks PO- left side higher

a little concerned about my left breast (your right), it doesn’t seem to be dropping and fluffing like the other one. The nipple has always turned slightly outward like that (my ps made me aware that it would be more noticeable the bigger I went), and the fold on that breast was lowered for better symmetry. It feels slightly tighter than my right breast, but they feel equally soft. I started sleeping with the breast band at night in hopes it will help. I go back to see my PS on 12/18 at week 18. Should I be concerned? Or is this just part of the being patient process? I’m worried about cc.

  • Honestly I can't know for sure.  It looks like more muscle was released on the problem side because I see more implant medially (toward the breast bone).  Certainly I would want to wait 9-12 months prior to any revision and would just try and be patient as there isn't much else to do at this point.  Preexisting asymmetry is really hard.  Because no matter what we do, you'll have some ongoing asymmetry but it's different asymmetry...Best of luck, you should keep us posted if you think about it!

I would be honored to see you at my office in Raleigh, NC!

Dr. Michelle Roughton Marigold Airplane I went to my PS yesterday. He said that I may have just irritated the muscle doing something and that’s why it looked and felt tighter. I’m back to normal since yesterday. He advised me to wear the band at night, just to ensure the left stays down in the pocket. He checked me for cc and said it doesn’t appear to be that at all,  but I have a follow-up in 4 weeks to be safe.

  • I had the same problem and needed a revision a year later. My pocket stretched out. My revision worked but I think I need another revision as the same thing happened but not as noticeable like the first time. I think I just need bigger implants since my pockets are naturally big and stitching them smaller doesn’t seem to be working. I had 355cc the first time and 440cc the second time.
