Oil/cream/lotion to reduce stretch marks and improve skin elasticity?

Hi friends! I’m 5 days out from my BA surgery - I bought Bio Oil at the drug store thinking I’d want to put something on my stretched skin to improve elasticity as I heal but just read that Bio Oil has all kinds of crap in it and honestly I don’t want to put that on my body. Anybody use anything natural that they like? There’s lots of belly butters on the market for pregancy and such, maybe those would work, or just coconut oil? Let me know if you have a recommendation for me! Also I’m not there yet but anything you’ve found helpful to apply to the incision site to reduce scarring once the stitches are out? Thank you much!

  • I’ve just been using regular lotion 2x/day. I started with bio oil but it made me breakout badly. I’m about 5wpo and no stretch marks 😊. For the scars I’ve been using the scar salve so far no results but we shall see.

  • I used Jojoba oil with Geranium, Frankincense, & Helichrysum essential oils. I prefer young living oils but any reputable pure brand is good.

  • I used the Palmers cocoa butter for stretch marks(can find it at Walmart ).  I’m 13 wpo and not a stretch mark in sight😀.  For scars, I’m using Scaraway strips.

  • I use Palmers as well - just over 7wpo and no stretch marks to be seen (knock on wood 😉). I also use Jenny Eden’s scar salve - scars are barely noticeable (under the breast incision).
