How exactly should I be massaging? I’m 9 days post op. My surgeon said to start massaging and he kind of just showed me to rub on the top of my breast and said to make sure to do the sides so they don’t want to “go that way”... I asked for clarification, but he just said the same thing.
I’m confused as to what to do. I know that there’s a good chance I can’t actually hurt myself doing what I’m doing I just want to make sure I’m doing it correctly.
Hey Kate Taylor you got this! Massage is mostly to get your pec to relax and when it does that everything looks better. You can pinch from the top and toggle the implant back and forth. You can lean against a wall, you can lie on them on the floor. There's 1,000,000 ways to do it but all you're accomplishing is muscle relaxation, like rubbing a Charlie horse in your leg.
As always – I would be so honored to see you at my offices in Raleigh, NC!Reply
