  • I was set to book surgery for 5/28 but checked with my doctor's office to see about getting an appointment for the pre-op tests and blood work, I received an email from the nursing staff saying they're not accepting those type of appointments at this time - check back in May. ugh. I gave up the 5/28 date.

  • Pre-OP is April 22nd and surgery is May 5th with Dr. Roughton!

I am having a revision. Increasing from 200cc's to high 500's and adding gala mesh to correct bottoming out. Sientra silicone and I'm thinking high profile but not certain about that yet! 5'9" and 140 lbs fairly athletic build. I am sooo excited! 😁

  • Was originally scheduled 4/9 to then 4/31 to now 5/7! Hoping it doesn’t have to get moved again. Having a BA and going with 385cc I believe. Will finalize that the day of as had to do a phone pre op consult and wasn’t able to discuss in detail with PS! Excited to be having my sx with Dr Roughton at Amelia Aesthetics! Cant wait to finally have boobies. I’m a small 34a and after breastfeeding girls look sad.

Arojas16 hi!!! I had same situation - rescheduled twice and now scheduled for May 7 with Dr Roughton for 385cc!! And same... I didn’t meet with her at my pre-op bc she was out of town... I’m kind of freaking out and thinking I should do 355cc. I’m terrified to go too big bc I have never had breasts... even when breastfeeding two kids - biggest I got was maybe a small B - so I don’t want to feel “not myself” but also don’t want to have boob greed... and from what I hear all the time, just go with the bigger size if you’re unsure bc it’s such a small difference - won’t even notice. I’m 5’4.5, 135lbs and a 34AA.

      m. lucy same here with boobs never got bigger than like a small b when breastfeeding. Have you tried making rice sizers? I did that and wear them randomly in my sports bra. I like how they look under shirts and I don’t feel too big. I’ll def be asking her the morning off between the 355 and 385 which she thinks will give me what I want but I’m pretty sure it will be the 385. I had them send me a few more vectra scans showing me 355 vs 385 vs 405?( I think it was maybe 400).... anyway and def the 400 was more than I wanted but the 385 gave me a little more upper pole fullness it looked like. Maybe we will pass by each other that day. :) I believe my scheduled time is still the same so I have to be there at 7:15 am.

Arojas16 we must be right after each other bc I have to be there at 8:15am! I have made rice sizers and do the same 😁 I put them in and see how they look in bras and shirts - I like them a lot but they definitely have a different look IMO than the sizers at the office. The ones at the office provided a more overall fullness even spread where the rice sizers seem to sit front and center. Here are the 385’s I made... funny how where you tie off the hose it looks like nipples 😆 but I really like this size. I showed the nurse at the pre-op and she was impressed at how real they looked. I agree with what you’re saying... there wasn’t a visible difference to me with the sizers or the Vectra when I was between the 350-400 range and I certainly don’t want to spend all this time and money to be underwhelmed... I had gone into this whole process thinking I would be getting high 200’s maybe 300 and here I am getting almost 400 and it’s just a bit scary to me... so I’m trying to not think about the number of CC’s or bra size (which only works for me occasionally 😂) and instead focus on the look I am trying to achieve - and I just have to trust Dr Roughton and the process.

Arojas16 m. lucy Dr. Roughton is doing my BA in June! I’m similar in stats to y’all as well 5’1.5” about 112lbs currently 32B but honestly I could prob wear an A 😂. I am also afraid to go too big but during the consult the patient care coordinator reassured me that 385-400 would look natural on me. I tried on the sizers in the office and liked the look of 350 but my husband and the coordinator said 400 looked great too and that there wasn’t much difference between the the two. My BWD is around 12.9 according to the vectra imaging. I’m assuming Roughton will go with a moderate profile since my BWD is a bit wider? She knows I want a natural look and I don’t want to be too top heavy. Did she tell y’all what your BWD was or which profile she suggested? I am getting Sientra 106- which implant are you guys getting?

CB911 I had my consult back in October and it was pretty brief. I felt like we’d go in more detail at my pre op but then that had to done over the phone. So I don’t know my bwd and I’m pretty sure I’m getting the sientra 107s. I want moderate and my PCC said that’s mostly what Dr R uses, unless I had a very small frame but I don’t. Yeah I’m pretty set on the 385. Once I saw the vectra showing 355 vs 385 vs 400 I was sold. It’s not a significant diff but I know if I like the 355 I should just go up one more. But the 400 looked just a bit to big for me. I want that “she got boobs but they look so natural” look. :)

CB911 Hi! So exciting! I was in the exact same boat! I tried on the sizers at my consult and was between 350 & 385. The 400’s felt just a bit too big. But then at my pre-op I tried on one 350 and one 400 and couldn’t tell a difference. I felt like that sold me on the 385’s. I’m still nervous that they will be too big but most of the research I’ve done on this site of women with 385’s have high profile which definitely has more projection - and most are starting out with more than I have. I don’t recall being told what my BWD is but when I measure it myself I get between 12.7 & 13... so I think she will definitely go moderate (which is what she says she mostly uses unless the look you want is something specifically different) - so with the moderates there won’t be as much projection - which I am good with. I fell in love with the 106’s at my consult bc they are so natural feeling and squishy, but ultimately decided on the 107’s bc they are more highly cohesive and I have pretty much zero breast tissue. I am nervous if I do a softer implant that I will have rippling. The 107 is soft but more structured, if that’s the right word...? Here’s my vectra.

CB911 Hi there. Let me just say 50cc (350-400) is only 2 TBSP. If that helps 😄 And my height and weight are different, but I was hesitant about going too big originally as well. I barely filled my A bras. Fast forward a few years of loving my 1st implants, I am scheduled to replace them for bigger ones May 7th. Honestly, it’s incredible how I got used to them and started to feel like they are just a natural part of my body. Now I want BIG boobs! 😆 lol 💕 Lots of luck.

Arojas16 so exciting!! What have you purchased to prepare? Did they give you a list of things? My pre-op appt is in May so I’m sure I’ll find out then but I’d like to go ahead and start getting stuff together. I know they will give us some of Jenny’s scar salve. I’m going to purchase some boobie butter bc I don’t think they include that.

CB911 hey so yes we get the scar salve at 6 weeks. And I found out they have the boobie butter there so I’ll be purchasing that the day I get there. I bought some of the arnica tablets on amazon last night, and I have two sports bras and bought another one from target I’m picking up now. I have pillows all over my house and my old nursing pillow I’ll be using. They give you a neck pillow in your going away bag but I have one at home too. I think I’m prepared as far as things go, but mentally a bit nervous. I’ve never been put under so I’m a bit scared.. and being a mom it’s make me worry but I’m sure all will be fine. Ready for some boobies!!

CB911 yes they send you home in the coobie. I have one I bought from fabletics that clips together in the front, a regular over the head sports bra from VS, and one from target I just bought. The one from target is a medium but my other two are smalls... not really sure what to expect.

CB911 hey! Yep, as Arojas16 said, surgery is on for next Thursday! So excited!! I bought a couple True & Co from Target and another Hanes stretchy bra (kind of like a coobie) - all are seamless and comfy. I didn’t buy any zip ups - I don’t know what size I will be and I think I’ll do fine with what I have for now. I bought Boobie Butter, arnica montana tablets, stool softener, Smooth Move tea, extra long reusable gel ice packs, a backrest pillow (one of those pillows with arms), and some snacks. I’m anticipating some nausea bc I get it pretty easily so I got some ginger ale, crackers and pretzels.

CB911 hey so i went with 385cc moderate plus. I have 355 in my left breast though as it was a bit bigger. I’m feeling good, just sore in certain areas : under arms and middle of chest. The pain meds make me super nauseas so just taking Tylenol and arnica tabs. May incorporate Advil too. They are still super high but I know I just got to give em time. Super happy with size I chose!

CB911 yes! It was yesterday and went very well. I got 385cc. Yesterday I was very out of it, groggy and nauseous from the anesthesia and pain meds. I talked to my doctor last night and she suggested I try just taking Tylenol and Advil instead and that has been so much better for me. I finally feel like myself and have an appetite again. I’m sore and tight but no pain. 😁

CB911 true, it’s real. I tried on sizers again but they only had 350 and 400cc sizer. If I was going to go up from 385 then it would be 415 and I liked them but felt I wanted a bit more natural look. The nurse said there really isn’t a diff is deciding 385 and going up or down to the next sizes. I originally was going to do 350 and then decided 385 bc I know Boob greed is REAL! Then spoke with my PS and once she saw my pictures of my boobie guide and looked at my vectra again and then after seeing me yesterday morning prior to sx, she stated I picked a perfect size and they will look like exactly what I want! What sizes are you battling between?

CB911 Hey! I’m doing and feeling wonderful. Seriously, this was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I was out of it for the first day from surgery, anesthesia and pain meds; the pain meds didn’t agree with me so after only taking one, I switched to Tylenol and Advil and have been great with just those. I took it easy on day 2, but by days 3-4, I felt pretty normal other than soreness and tightness. It feels like a combination of a hard chest workout and your milk coming in. I do have some bruising on the center of my chest between my breasts that is sore. I think right now the hardest part is that I feel really good and I know I still need to take it easy until my muscles heal. I was most nervous about the surgery itself, mainly the anesthesia. I have never gone under before and was terrified... but I can 100% assure you it was a piece of cake. They don’t give you any time to get nervous! You are with someone (nurse, anesthesiologist, or Dr Roughton) the whole time other than to change; you are answering questions or chatting and before you know it you are heading into the surgical suite. Everyone is so nice and warm and you don’t feel uncomfortable or nervous, just excited! The anesthesiologist lets you know they are putting the IV in and you will start to feel sleepy and before you know it, you are waking up with boobs. That’s it! As for liking them... I was pretty certain before I had surgery that I was going to have some major Frankenboob/torpedoes and it was going to take a while for them to settle. I workout and do yoga a lot; I have very strong chest muscles so I had prepared myself for looking funky. 😆 I was right, they are very high and tight and really just at about 1 week post op you can kind of tell from the front that I had a BA. If you look at an angle and from the side you can see them; it looks like I am wearing a corset without a corset! Lol! I have no idea what size they will be when all is said and done - but as of right now I am very happy! Dr. Roughton is amazing, you are in outstanding hands! Seriously! Get less nervous and more excited girl! Also I looked at your stats and what you’re going for; my opinion is to definitely go on the higher volume side of your options. I tried on 400’s and went with 385... I know I am only one week in but I probably would have gone with 415 at least. I know it’s so minimal no one would notice, but it’s a mind game at this point. When they are inside your chest, they are way less “out there” than the sizers. If you like a certain look, don’t be afraid to bump up the volume. 😊

      m. lucy thank you for ALL of that wonderful information. I feel a lot better about things after reading this! I hope you are still doing well! What type of surgical post op bra did they give you? Do you have any suggestions on post-op bras I should go ahead and purchase? I saw some zip front’s on amazon but I don’t really know what to get. What did Roughton suggest? I’m assuming no underwire? I haven’t bought anything yet to prepare for surgery so if you have suggestions for anything at all that’s been helpful for you, please let me know! Thanks for sharing pics you look great!

CB911 thank you! I’ve changed even more this week, I’ll definitely take more photos. I plan to share my journey soon on here, once I get some drop going - lol! They send you home in a grey coobie bra. I had bought a couple seamless True & Co bras from Target (which I like) but didn’t want to go crazy buying bras bc I’ve heard how much your breasts change over the course of a few months.... and I think that’s why they give you the coobie. It is a “one size fits most” bra, is so stretchy and seamless and very comfortable. I had to wear a different bra while I washed it after a few days and immediately went online and ordered 3 more coobies bc I loved it so much. The one they send you home in doesn’t have the pads in it, but the ones I bought online came with removable pads. I like that a lot bc if I’m outside I can put the pads in if I want (nip game is real strong right now lol!) or I can wear without pads around the house. I am almost 2 weeks PO and am thinking of getting a front zip up bra for working out. I started doing some low impact lower body stuff and it would be nice to have something that is easy on and off and a little more supportive when needed. Definitely no underwire, I think the paper says for at least 6 weeks.

  • I'm scheduled for May for a complicated case of tuberous/asymmetrical breasts that's going to require two surgeries (this will be the first of the two). My surgery is in NYC, so I'm not confident it won't be rescheduled, but here's hoping!

peachy57 I have a May 21 surgery scheduled with Dr. Roughton in Raleigh for tuberous breast deformity. I didn’t even know that is what I have until my first consult. I just thought I lacked fullness, but now I understand why my milk never came in to breast feed my daughter. My breasts also never got full during pregnancy either due to this condition. They stayed  the same size the whole time!

For me it is about having shape and symmetry first, then size. I am a plus size gal at 5’9” with a muscular farm girl frame. She’ll be performing a lollipop lift and will have to shape down my left breast a little so it matches my right one. The lift will help create a rounder, fuller shape for both sides. Because I am broader in the chest than most ladies (I currently wear a 40D or 42C bra, but have a hard time filling out the cup of the right breast due to asymmetry), the Vectra image indicates I can accommodate Sientra 695cc moderate profile gummies under the muscle. Since I am wider, I need larger implants to fill the width shape and look right on my frame.. I have my virtual surgery consult April 30 with the doctor to go over everything. I am “cautiously hopeful” that I will have somewhat normal looking breasts when this is done. Excited and nervous. I am 52 years old and have wanted to do this for years!! I was thinking I could just simply have implants put in. I didn’t expect I would need a lift to  release the lower pole restriction to create the pocket, but after seeing her surgical work in a similar case, it makes sense. I still have a few questions to ask during my consult on the 30th, but I have been doing my research. I actually found on Google a gal with my exact breasts! I mean exact!! Lol! She is in the UK. She had the same procedure I will be having. Wow what a difference! I just want normal looking boobies. If I can achieve THAT, I will be a happy lady. But if I am going to do this, I also don’t want boob guilt by not going big enough. I am getting the largest size I can get in that profile and brand, so I will be asking the question: “Is that big enough for my shape?” Good luck on your journey and wish me luck on mine!

Jules it sounds like we're in a similar boat with worrying about what's going to become of our less than desirable current breasts! I am a 40A and a 40AA. Of course, bras don't exist in that size, so I wear a 36A, which I cannot fill and is too tight around my ribs. To make it even weirder, I wear a size 6 bottoms, and I have a lot of loose skin (100lb weight loss). Im worried about looking like an upside triangle with my large rib cage and small lower body!! Plus I need a lift on one boob (but both will be done), but I have almost no breast tissue!! To say I am extremely worried about my outcome is probably an understatement. The Vectra imagining put me in the 250cc range, which pretty much made me want to cry. Who the heck wants to pay this much money for boobies that are cut up and still tiny? The good news is I 100% trust my surgeon, and I know he will provide me with the best outcome possible!

      Best of luck!

Xine I wear 40D bras but I don’t look like a 40D. I too have to wear a tighter band in order to fit the cups right. And then to be asymmetrical too makes it challenging. I really should wear a 42 band but then the cups sag. Bra fitting is no fun at all. I do have some breast tissue but it’s a bit droopy. I also have a short lower pole area. My hope is that the lift will create the round shape so the implant will fit nicely  and give me roundness for once in my life. I also hope I don’t have a double-bubble due to the old fold, but this could be a possibility for while until the implants settle in. It is all so overwhelming.  It will be great if I can get some added “boobage.” It is so hard to know what I will look like but I too am putting my trust in my surgeon. The Vectra image; the front view didn’t wow me so it is hard to get really excited. Yeah, they looked bigger but will the lift make me look as normal as possible? We’ll see! 🤞🏻

  • I’m scheduled for May 16th with Dr. Roughton. I’m having implants replaced. Currently have around 325. They are 15 years old and been through two pregnancies and breastfeeding. Still unsure in size and what kind. Thinking somewhere around 500-525. I’m currently 5’5 around 160. I’m trying to drop a little weight prior to surgery.

      Needingarevision so far

      3M micropore tape

      Ice packs

      Pedialyte

      Pre surgery ensure

      Neck pillow

      Breakfast tray

      Compression socks

      Arnicare tablets

      Bromelain tablets

My last c-section I had what I would consider a lot of swelling in my feet and ankles- No swelling prior or with my first pregnancy/c section. So it was kind of scary for me. That’s why compression socks are on my list 😂. I have a few more things to buy in the next few weeks.

  • Yay, ladies of May! I am excited because I’m scheduled May 7th for an upgrade (size increase) from current under muscle Natrelle Inspira 520cc SRF left/right - Looking to go to bigger/fuller. During my consult we talked about 750cc or 800cc. I am trying to gather info and knowledge on the matter.
A little of back story, I have always been a perky A+cup (when I was measured for 1st surgery I think they estimated about 110/100cc size in the 3D) Nursed three babies (twins for a year, then my third for over a year) and found I loved my body with big, full breasts. Fast forward, I wanted larger than 500 originally but my PS couldn’t comfortably get a larger implant in. I have a beautiful result, so SO love this enhancement. I feel now my body can accommodate the size I really want.
    Please share thoughts, experiences.
    Thanks for reading.

Needingarevision Aww 🥰 thanks! I am really excited. I would be lying if I didn’t say I’m a little nervous as well. I’ve done it before but it’s still a surgery AND I am going bigger which may mean swelling and pain I haven’t experienced yet. • Hi 👋. My surgery is scheduled for the 29th. I’m 5ft, 112lbs. My base width is 12.something on left (I think it was 12.7) and 13 on the right. I’m hoping for 500-600cc closer to 6. This will be my first augmentation. I breastfed both of our daughters. I was always a small a/b cup. Pre-pregnancy they had great shape. Now they are deflated and sad. Fingers crossed 🤞 everything goes well. My pre-op is the second week of May.

  • Because of Covid I’ve gone from March 25 to April 13 now May 1st. Originally I was 5 days away from surgery. 🤞🏼 It’s been an emotional roller coaster. At times I get discouraged because I can’t find pictures that look like me before and the Vectra images were awful so I feel like I’m going in blindly not knowing the outcome especially because the size the dr stated in consult is too small when fitted in Vectra. Also, i might or might not need a lift which I already paid for in the quote. He’s rated the best surgeon in our area so I have faith in him. Just all this waiting and googling got me going bonkers. I also have lower pole hypoplasia so more work needs to be done. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼 this happens soon.

Dbldimples my Vectra images were so ugly I almost cried. And I did call the PS office a few days later, nearly in tears, talking about how I do not want to pay for ugly boobies cuz I already have some and they were free. Lol. I think the Vectra software just did a bad job showing what my boobs would looks like cuz I also need a lift. The Vectra images were basically my ugly boobs, just amplified. I read somewhere about the vectra images are pretty darn accurate, which almost gave me a panic attack, but I think I will be one of those people that It is just not accurate for. Or at least that's what I hope.

Xine awwww...I am right there with you. When I saw my Vectra images, i was like, “Meh....this is it?!” The side view was okay, but the front....yuck! I felt like my boobs were really far apart and my areolas got bigger (stretched). My surgeon shared with me a real picture of a lady she had done the week before that had similar, but not exact, tubular breasts and where she did the lollipop lift. That’s what I needed to see to reassure me. What a difference that lift made for the shape. I have attached two of my images. The overhead shot makes me nervous. It’s that space between boobs that worries me. My chest width is wider (although I wasn’t told the exact measurement). I do know I am wider built, though. The side shot looks okay...I don’t like how the computer made my areola so much bigger though. These are shown using Sientra 695cc moderate profile gummies under the muscle.

I really think I want to go 420ish moderate. I’m going saline so the profile choices are only high or mod

  • I am scheduled for May 7, this is my third date since the first two in April were cancelled & rescheduled. I am 5’4.5”, 135lbs, 34AA, athletic build. I’ve never had large breasts, even when pregnant or breastfeeding (biggest I got was probably a small B cup?) and have always wanted them. I’m nervous to go too big bc I don’t want to not feel like myself or top heavy, but I also don’t want to have boob greed... I honestly don’t even have a bra size in mind bc I don’t have a point of reference. I’ve used a lot of after photos on here to get an idea of what I like, had the Vectra done and tried on sizers at my consult and pre-op. I didn’t see a big difference between the 350cc and 400cc sizers so I decided on 385cc Sientra 107‘s (highly cohesive gummy) unders - probably moderate profile (PS will decide based on BWD). Hoping this gives me a natural and proportionate look for my body... although I keep wondering if I should do 355 instead. I know it’s not a big difference between the 385 but it’s going to be such a big difference to have boobs.

-How many POST OP bras do you need or should you have?

-How do you determine what size to buy prior to surgery to wear POST OP while your washing the one the dr gives you for example.

-I noticed through the process sizing changes a lot. At what point do you get REGULAR SPORTS bras?

-And when’s the best time to size yourself?

    • Dbldimples I have 3 zip front bras that are nice and stretchy to accommodate and will also have the 1 they give me post op. My surgeon uses nice post op bras so I'll def keep it and use it in rotation. I also bought 2 unlined underwire bras because I am having mesh placed and was actually instructed to wear underwire to support the mesh for a while. I got one that is a 32DD and another that's a 32DDD and I expect one of those will fit! As for figuring out cup size, every 150 cc's is generally one more cup size so if you are currently a 32A and you are getting 300 cc's for example, you would likely end up in the 32C range so you can buy some bras using that kind of estimation!

    • Dbldimples Forgot to say that last surgery I bought regular sports bras at about 2-3 months post op and those still fit! The ones I bought prior to that are no longer a good fit lol.

i am scheduled for May 7. I have had to reschedule twice 😭 and my original date was March 12, but I had a low grade fever and it was right when the COVId19 scare was taking over. I should be well recovered now :(

fingers crossed it goes through this time for surgery! I am 5’2, 115-120lbs A/B cup. I am getting 495cc and 445cc.

  • Following up. My May 29 date was canceled. Will be rescheduled to the beginning of June. I’m waiting to hear back with the exact date on Monday. I’m in Missouri by the way.
