Muscle relaxers help yes or no? Tight or looser sports bras?

Ladies- help a girl out!

Did Muscle relaxers help you at all? My PS did not prescribe but wondering if that would make a positive difference- Boobs are just tight and spasming when I am up and moving around.

Sports bras. Honestly one of the things bumming me out is dressing in loose gym clothes 24/7 to hide the sports bras, but a necessary choice, I get it. My question is: did any of you notice a difference in discomfort varying by tightness of sports bra? I have noticed that a sports bra feels better than the surgical bra but some sports bras look like they are pushing implants back up to my collarbone after a day of wear. What gives?

thanks for your help ladies!

  • How far post op are you ? The muscle relaxers helped me sleep more than anything I feel haha. As for the sports bras, I like mine a tiny bit snug (not tight) for the extra support in the early days post op. If it's too tight you'll end up moving your implants up and you may not want that. Try to opt for a comfortable sports bra for just support - not squish. I also wore a coobie after my second BA and it felt nice too.

  • My Dr prescribed Valium and Percocet, yes the Valium helps a lot I get really loopy from it so I have to cut it in half or I can’t function at all.  At 1 week post op my Dr told me to switch to a sports bra (I like mine snug) or a regular bra with either no underwire or light underwire.  I found some really cute Bralettes that give support and are super comfy.
