Worried I went too big 😔

Hi ladies, I’ve avoided posting this because it makes it feel more real, but I’m at the point now where I’d appreciate some feedback. I had 385/425cc textured silicone overs done in May along with a tummy tuck. I was a deflated 32 D beforehand. I’m having a hard time liking them. They feel really large and heavy. I’ve found two bras that fit measuring a 32 G and 30 H but the underwire is so uncomfortable. I can’t find any bras that fit at any normal stores. I don’t feel sexy.  I feel like they make me look heavier than I am, like I just gained a good amount of weight. They feel low and pendulous. Like my breasts just hang off of the implant that’s secured on my chest wall. Any bra I wear I feel like I’m shoving my breasts in it and trying to squeeze them to the sides to minimize them. I’m scared I should have gotten a lift and smaller implants. 😢 I think my surgeon did a fantastic job, no fault to him, he helped me decide what I wanted but they don’t look like my wish pics and feel like an inconvenience. I don’t know what to do. I’m thinking maybe if I lose some weight, they’d also get smaller? So discouraged.

  • Love I'm so sorry you are feeling discouraged. My BA is scheduled for next week so I don't have any insight for post-op but I have hugs. Its frustrating when you can't find the right size bra and trying to figure it out ( I do understand that one for sure). Are you disappointed because you can't find a bra size and its deflecting onto enjoying them? You don't have to answer that. It's what my hubby does when I start getting discouraged with something. But I do know this. My PS did tell me its not uncommon for a lift to happen after a BA. In fact he did one for my aunt. Go have a conversation with your PS and don't for one minute feel bad about it. They are your girls after all. You want to show them off! Let him know how you're feeling and he can tell you how they can be made better.

    • Megan Smith thank you so much for the encouraging words. ❤️ Not being able to just go to the store and buy a bra is definitely part of it. I think I’m also kicking myself because I knew I never wanted “big” breasts but because I’m pear shaped most people told me to go bigger to “even my proportions out” and to avoid boob greed. I should have listened to my intuition.

      Carolina Marie

I'm sorry to hear that you feel this way.

They do look beautiful and natural and they are proportionate to your body.  You defintely look slimmer and your waist is very defined :)  but if you are not happy then that is what matters.

It sounds to me too, that you may feel better if they were lifted, due to your comment that they feel "low and pendulous" and that they "hang". Losing weight would probably exacerbate this concern, as you would lose more breast tissue and have more loose skin.  However, if you want to lose weight you should do it before a breast lift.

In the meantime, if underwire bras are uncomfortable than you may need a bigger cup.  I could never wear underwire before BA because I needed a D cup width and my little breasts couldnt even fill a B cup.  So I bought wirefree B cup bras, lol.  I was shocked when my PS told me my BWD was closer to a D cup.  I never imagined that they were that wide.

  • I think you look freaking fantastic!! I’ve heard there are great places to find larger size bras that are very cute. Maybe some of the ladies here can advise us?

    • Momofeight I’ve tried a few places online but they only go up to a DDD. So far Nordstrom’s has been the only place I can find brands that come in my size. Inconvenient but oh well! And thanks for the support ❤️

Momofeight Cacique has band size 32-50 and cups up to H. There is one 2 stores down from Victoria's Secret here.  I'll be checking them out too.

    • Susan they feel super natural too! I think it’s because I had so much breast tissue to begin with. Which is also why they feel so large!

  • Really they do look great! And I agree with the above comment that they make your waist look slimmer (unless maybe it’s just the angle / your posture?). Having said that, it’s important that YOU are happy with your boobs. I’d try to go to a specialty boutique and look for some nice bras, or maybe order online. I don’t know how long it’s been since your surgery, but maybe more time is needed to adjust?

  • I think they look great. I am border line for a lift and getting mine done in November. I am also doing over the muscle. If mine look like yours, I will be so happy.

Ale888 that’s sweet of you. I’m still so happy I went over the muscle. Your recovery will be a breeze!

  • You look great but I could see where you’re coming from about the lift. I was a deflated small B and got the lift with my BA and it’s definitely worth it. I told my PS to do whatever it took to give me perky boobs again. My entire breast surgery was pain free and I’m thinking maybe it’s because I also had the tummy surgery and that was super painful. Just keep in mind that nothing has to be permanent and you can always go back in for a breast lift!

  • I’d give yourself a time deadline.  If in X weeks, months you still don’t like them then maybe look into downsizing/lift.  You look great but the only opinion that matters is your own.  If you don’t like them or if the size is an issue then there is no shame in downsizing!  Lots of women do it.

  • First- these are BEAUTIFUL boobies. And I agree with the poster below that they totally make your figure look smaller! But I know what it's like to be frustrated with bra buying. I've found that reaching for underwire bras that are sized as small medium large, etc. are way easier to dress larger breasts (i have 600cc implants). Check out Warner's Simply Perfect Bra and coobies! They're so comfy and fit great.

  • Girl, you look fantastic!  It will take time to adjust to the fullness, but look at your before pic again...you look sooooo good now!  You look sexier, not heavier.  You have curves and that makes your waist look smaller.  If you want to lose weight, wait until you are at your desired weight, then do the lift.  The lift will make them perkier and sit a little higher and rounder....which also takes getting used to.  Once you find comfy pretty bras, you will feel better.  It was dreadful until I found something that looked and fit right, then I enjoyed putting on bras and seeing them come to life lol.  Do whatever will make you happy, but to address your concern about them being too big or making you look too big, absolutely not! :)
